 Dr. Glen Money, Senior Pastor

glen@fbcmonroe.com

Glen Money is the Senior Pastor at FBC. He came to Monroe in 1997 and for over a decade has loved and led the church through a strong season of growth and transition. Dr. Money served as the Associate Pastor of FBC Albany prior to his call to Monroe. He was the pastor of Calvary Baptist in Albany, chaplain at Athens Regional Medical Center and interim pastor of Vienna Baptist Church in Indiana. In his early years of ministry, he was a music and youth minister in Florida and Missouri.

Glen is a native of Florida with degrees from North Florida Junior College and Florida State University. He holds a master of divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and was a graduate fellow at Emory University. He has done graduate work in marriage and family therapy at Valdosta State University. In 2006, Glen received his doctorate from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Glen is married with two grown sons. Glen's wife Lisa is a native of Ocala, Florida, and is a well-known and respected personal trainer. An RN, she has a twenty-year history of nursing in hospitals, offices, state clinics and the US Army. Their son Thad is a graduate of Mercer University and a former Air Force Academy cadet; he currently resides in South Carolina with his wife Brittany. Jordan is a cadet at North Georgia College and State University. Glen loves golf, music, all sorts of sports (Go 'Noles, Dawgs and Braves!) and along with Thad is a certified private pilot.

Dr. Todd Ware, Associate Pastor of Education

todd@fbcmonroe.com

Todd has served as Associate Pastor of Education since the summer of 1998. His family moved to Monroe from Waynesboro, Georgia, where he served for eight years as Minister of Education and Youth at the First Baptist Church.

Todd is married to the former Teri Jones. They have three sons: Brandon, Daniel, and Zachary. Teri teaches 2nd grade at Westminster Christian Academy in Watkinsville where all three sons are enrolled.

Born in Washington, Georgia, Todd is the youngest of three children. He was raised in a Christian home and attended the First Baptist Church of Washington from an early age. He publicly claimed faith in Christ and was baptized at the age of 11. His involvement in the youth ministry of FBC Washington was instrumental in his pursuing ministry as a vocation.

Todd and Teri are graduates of Truett-McConnell College (where they met) and Mercer University. They both attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where Todd graduated with his Master of Divinity degree and Teri earned her Master of Religious Education degree. While on staff at FBC Waynesboro, Todd earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, SC.

Todd’s passion is to be part of a Christian community that seeks to be authentic followers of Jesus. He loves being Baptist, but treasures reaching out to all who make the good confession that "Jesus is Lord." His life pursuit is to be consumed by the Kingdom of God in who he is and all he does.
